APA Style Guide to Electronic References (2007)

The latest (6th) edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association recommends that electronic sources that have been assigned DOI (digital object identifier) numbers use those DOI numbers in the citations.  Please see sections 6.31 and 7.01, 7.02, etc.
