Databases of Theses and Dissertations

Theses and dissertations can be an important part of your research. Often, they contain a thorough literature review which can help you track down resources. When you are working on your thesis or dissertation, it is important that you are aware of all other research being done in your topic so you don't repicate someone else's work.

  • Proquest - Dissertations and Theses Online
With more than 2.4 million entries, the ProQuest Dissertations & Theses (PQDT) database is the most comprehensive collection of dissertations and theses in the world. More than 930,000 are available in PDF format.
  • Dissertation Abstracts
Over 2 million dissertations and theses from U.S., Canadian, and European institutions.
    Covering 1861 to present
    Abstracts since 1980
    Thesis abstracts since 1988
  • Physics Department Senior Theses
Online access; arranged by year, 1999-date.
  • D-Space at William and Mary
Digital repository for records and research; includes senior and honors theses.
Search "Physics" to access recent senior theses
