Welcome to Swem Library's guide to research about the College of William & Mary!

This guide will help you find information about the College's history, people, buildings, events, and more!

Two of the most frequently used resources for projects about William and Mary are the student newspaper The Flat Hat and the Colonial Echo yearbook. The Flat Hat is available online as well as in Swem Library's microfilm collection and in paper form in the Special Collections Research Center. The Colonial Echo is available in Swem Library in the reference collection, oversize stacks, and the Special Collections Research Center (call number LD6051 .W55).

    Subject Tricky! Need to know Library of Congress subject headings.
